SunTour · ref FD-SB00-SSH (clamp-on) / FD-SB00-SSB (braze-on)
Part of the SunTour Superbe Pro groupset.
This is the front derailleur from SunTour's top road group. SunTour's 1990 catalog lists it in two versions: the FD-SB00-SSH clamp-on (28.6 mm clamp, 92 grams) and the FD-SB00-SSB braze-on (96 grams). Both are rated for 16 teeth of chainring difference, or 12 teeth with oval chainrings. In the same catalog the Superbe Pro crankset came with 52/42 rings on a 130 mm bolt circle, well within that range. Superbe Pro was a road racing group. SunTour's 1990 catalog lists three European pro teams on it: Super Confex, Helvetia-La Suisse and Stuttgart. The same catalog offers both non-indexed (SL-SB00) and AccuShift Plus (SL-IP00) down-tube lever sets for the group. Superbe Pro parts were made across more than a decade and their details changed, so compare the stamp, graphics and finish with the rest of the group if you want a matched set. Sheldon Brown notes that SunTour stopped making components in 1995.
Buying guide
About 66 listings turn up; complete examples mostly run $45–95 delivered, and braze-on versions (FD-SB00-SSB) outnumber 28.6 mm clamp-ons (FD-SB00-SSH). Match the mount to your frame and check that everything is there: two listings are titled "MISSING CLAMP" and one braze-on is sold with missing parts. Check the total with shipping, since one $75 listing adds $205, and be wary of a NOS listing from a seller at 71.4% feedback. All versions handle a 16-tooth ring difference, which covers the standard 52/42.

Heads-up: priced high
$75 for the derailleur, but $205 shipping makes it about $280; skip unless the seller will lower the postage.
