SunTour · ref CW-SB10 (1990 catalog)
Part of the SunTour Superbe Pro groupset.
This is the crankset from SunTour's top road group. SunTour's 1990 catalog lists it as the CW-SB10, made of polished aluminium alloy, with 52/42 rings on a 130 mm bolt circle and other rings available from 38 to 43 and 48 to 53 teeth. Arm lengths ran from 165 to 175 mm, and the weight was 680 grams with 52/42 rings and 170 mm arms. The detail buyers get wrong is the taper. SunTour's catalog gives the taper size as "Superbe" for both the crankset and its BB-SB10 bottom bracket, rather than calling it a Shimano-style JIS taper. Sheldon Brown's spindle table pairs early-1990s Superbe Pro doubles with a Campagnolo 111 mm spindle. Sheldon Brown also notes that a crank built for one taper sits about 4.5 mm off when mounted on the other, which upsets chainline and can let the crank bottom out on the spindle. The cleanest fix is to buy the crank with its own Superbe Pro bottom bracket, or to use an ISO-taper spindle of the right length. Superbe Pro was made through the 1980s, so earlier cranks may differ in detail from the 1990 CW-SB10.
Buying guide
About 77 listings turn up; complete cranksets mostly run $160–390 delivered, and NOS sets climb to $450. Superbe Pro was made through the 1980s, so check the bolt circle: the 1990 CW-SB10 is 130 mm BCD, while several earlier 1980s cranks here are listed at 144 BCD and take different chainrings. SunTour specified its own "Superbe" taper, so ask for the matching BB-SB10 bottom bracket or plan on an ISO-taper spindle of about 111 mm, not a Shimano JIS one. Watch for arm sets sold without rings.

Our take
Titled as a CW-SB10 crank arm set, so it likely lacks chainrings; about $107, with $34 of that shipping.

Our take
A 144 BCD crank, so it's an earlier 1980s version and needs 144 mm rings, not the CW-SB10's 130; about $200 with Best Offer.
