Campagnolo · ref FC-01CH · 1992–1994
Part of the Campagnolo Chorus 8-speed groupset.
The FC-01CH is the Chorus crankset of the 1992–1994 8-speed generation. Velobase lists a 135 mm bolt circle, crank lengths of 170, 172.5 and 175 mm, 9/16 x 20 pedal threads, a 111 mm square-taper bottom bracket, and plain (unfluted) aluminium arms. The 135 mm bolt circle allows an inner ring down to 39 teeth, which is the main practical difference from the 144 mm Nuovo Record crank. Velobase notes it has a self-extracting crank bolt and that it borrowed styling from the discontinued Croce d'Aune group, which leads to confusion with Athena cranks of the same years. The first Chorus crank (706/101, 1988–1991) also used a 135 mm bolt circle and a square taper, so check the model if period accuracy matters. The matching BB-01CH bottom bracket was offered in English and Italian threads, which means the crank itself does not tie you to an Italian frame.
Buying guide
About 458 listings turn up, but the search also catches other Chorus generations, so only some are the 1992–94 FC-01CH; most complete 135 mm bolt-circle sets run $70–150 delivered. Prioritise a stated 135 BCD or a 39-tooth inner ring (a 144 mm crank can't take one), both self-extracting bolts and caps, and the length you want (170, 172.5 or 175 mm). Check whether a bottom bracket is included and in which thread, and don't pay a premium for a 1988–91 first-generation crank or a 130 BCD set if you are matching an 8-speed group.

Early-1990s 170 mm set with 53/39 rings at about $104; ask whether it's the FC-01CH or the earlier 706/101.

A 1988–91 first-generation crank in graphite at $370, not the 1992–94 FC-01CH, and over three times the typical price.
